Strategic Plan

Dear Parents, Families, Staff, and Students,

Please join us for our first community meeting as we begin our discussions for the 2022 PGCPRSD Strategic Plan. The discussion will take place at the Penns Grove High School Cafeteria on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at 6:00 PM. Dr. David Hespe will be facilitating the dialog about decisions that will shape and guide our school district in the next five years.

Sincerely,

Zenaida Cobian, ED.D.
Superintendent of Schools

BUILDING A SCHOOL COMMUNITY OF LEADERS AND ACHIEVERS

The district is embarking on the development of the 2023-2027 PGCP Strategic Plan. On February 14, 2022, the board of education was presented with the process that will take place by Dr. David Hespe. There will be two (2) Community Forums, focus groups, and the formation of the Strategic Plan Steering Committee. An electronic survey will be developed to gather input and feedback from all stakeholders. The survey will be distributed using the district webpage, Facebook, Blackboard Connect, and other community organizations.

The process will include students, staff, parents, families, community leaders, businesses, and alumni. This will provide participants to share ideas and beliefs on the key areas of finance/facilities, teaching, and learning, student achievement, and communication. The feedback and data received will be analyzed to shape the District's direction in the next five (5) years.

The district has had air conditions added to our classrooms, repaired roofs, and replaced all windows in the school buildings. Technology has been provided to our teachers in the classroom and Chromebooks were given to each of our students. The district office reinstated the Homecoming parade, increased the number of curricular offerings for the students, used state grants to bring School-Based Youth Services to provide support, emotionally and academically, to our students.  Our district has developed the first environmental center in Salem County and it is establishing Social-Emotional systems of support for our students.

The district has made great strides since 2014 by using our Vision 2014 Strategic plan. The district is grateful for the partnerships we have established and the direction given by the community to continue providing the best education to our students. Please find future information by visiting our website, Facebook page, and/or by contacting Dr. Zenaida Cobian, Superintendent of Schools.

Yours in Education,
Zenaida Cobian, ED.D.
