Penns Grove High School is calling on all animal lovers! The National Honor Society (NHS) and FFA Chapter are joining forces to host a massive supply drive to support furry friends at both the Salem County Humane Society and the Burlington County Animal Shelter.
Community members are invited to participate in this service initiative now through May 11, 2026.
Two Ways to Give
Support Local (NHS): Donations designated for the National Honor Society will go directly to the Salem County Humane Society to assist local pets in need.
Statewide Impact (FFA): Items designated for FFA will be brought to the 97th NJ FFA State Convention Day of Service. There, Penns Grove students will combine their efforts with chapters from across the state to support the Burlington County Animal Shelter.
Mark Your Calendars: FFA Drop-Off Day
While donations are being collected throughout the month, the FFA will host a special drive-thru drop-off event:
When: May 8, 2026 | 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Where: Behind Penns Grove High School (334 Harding Hwy)
How to Help
Requested items include unopened pet food, cat litter, cleaning supplies (paper towels, bleach, Dawn), peanut butter (Xylitol-free), and toys. For a full list of specific needs for each shelter, please refer to the flyers posted in the school main office or on our social media pages.
