Note for Pre-Kindergarten Parents

  • As per the NJ Department of Health, children between the ages of six months and just under 60 Months enrolled in a licensed childcare center or preschool facility must receive one dose of influenza vaccine prior to Dec. 31 of each year or they will be excluded from school until proof of flu vaccine was administered. All Pre-Kindergarten students must receive a flu vaccination prior to January 1, 2023. These vaccines will begin being available at physician’s offices in September. Please make an appointment early and send documentation to the school nurse as soon as your child is vaccinated. You may also take your child to one of the many Flu Shot Clinics sponsored by the Salem County Health Department. A schedule of the clinic dates will be sent home with your child when it becomes available.

  • Immunization boosters can be given once your child turns 4 years old. These boosters must be given and documentation turned in to the school nurse prior to entering Kindergarten.

  • All new students entering PreK or kindergarten are required to provide a physical examination to the school nurse. The physical exam must be current within the last 365 days.
